WEATHER
From the middle of June to the middle of July is Japan's rainy season. Please bring a rain coat with you for protection.
TIPPING
There is no tipping custom in Japan. But in the hotel, a 10%-15% service charge is added.
RESPECT FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE
The Japanese revere elderly people and use polite words when addressing them. Please be mindful of this.
DID YOU KNOW?
THE EMPEROR
The Emperor of Japan is known as "Tenno" in Japanese. The very first Emperor was Jinmu Tenno in 660BC, and the current 126 Emperor is Naruhito Tenno.
NON-SMOKING AREAS
Depending on the ward (district of Tokyo), there are many public non-smoking areas that you need to be aware of, especially around stations. If you smoke in these areas you will be fined.

Perfect Day
MORNING
Why not experience a uniquely Japanese event at the Toyosu Market, which houses the biggest and most famous fish market in the world, the Tuna Auction. Please note that the auction begins from 5:30 am.
If you don't feel like going too early in the morning, you can always just go straight to the visitor's course where the inside hallways are lined with lots of small seafood restaurants for the freshest breakfast sushi imaginable.
Daiwa Sushi is one we would recommend.
After a fabulous breakfast be sure to visit the surrounding Odaiba area for a fun day of shopping, complete with various malls a lot of entertainment next to the Tokyo Bay.
AFTERNOON
Once you've made your way back to the hotel, you can take a Sumida River Boat from the Hinode Pier bound for Asakusa and TOKYO SKYTREE.
This is an excellent place to get a feel for what traditional and modern Japan was like.
If you are fortunate enough to be visiting in the Spring, you will be treated to a stunning view of cherry blossoms along the way.
Once there, I suggest taking a tour with a Jinrikisha (a 2-wheeled man-operated wagon cart) for a quick authentic view of the area.
The main attraction in Asakusa is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo, Sensoji Temple.
From the entrance of Sensoji Temple, Kaminari-mon Gate to all the way to the Main Hall, there is a shopping street called Nakamise-Dori
where you can buy traditional Japanese goods, such as Kimonos, wares, souvenirs and food.
For lunch, try a rice bowl covered with Japanese yams at Asakusa Mugitoro.
EVENING
A fabulous area to visit is Ginza, which houses Tokyo's most upmarket entertainment district.
There are many department stores, boutiques, eateries and so on.
If you love shopping, Ginza is absolutely the best place for you. From one extreme to another is Kabuki, one of the most unique experiences in
Japanese theater.
Accompanied by traditional Japanese instruments, the actors use an old-fashioned language which is difficult to understand, even for locals.
The Kabuki-za is a theater which specializes in Kabuki and is centrally located in Ginza. You can enjoy an authentic atmosphere at the gallery and shops in Kabuki-za as well, even if you don't watch the actual Kabuki performance.
For dinner, we recommend Rangetsu for a fine-dining Japanese sukiyaki and shabu-shabu experience.
